Although Nike SB has had a quieter 2021 than 2020, the skateboarding-obsessed imprint hasn’t allowed the year to go by without reinterpreting the Dunk High via solo and collaborative efforts. The former category is set to boast a “Medium Grey” tally soon.
An early look at the newly-surfaced pair reveals a rather muted color palette, with a rich grey base setting the stage for faint, ostensibly navy leather overlays across the upper. Laces and collar lining on the SB Dunk opt for a contrasting black tone, as does the Air Jordan 1-like outsole underfoot. Hits of red land near the top of the tongue and the loop at the spine, although no other component follows suit as depicted on the only image of the sneakers currently available. Sole units seemingly opt for a white midsole complemented by blue stitching. Together, each component creates a style much subtler than some of the options that captivated mainstream audiences throughout 2020.
No Nike SNKRS release details have been confirmed by the brand (if the pair will even drop online). In the meantime, enjoy a first-look at the pair ahead.
