Nearly sample-like in color blocking, the Air Jordan 1 “Tokyo” is poised to be one of the most eclectic releases the silhouette will see later this Fall. Following up the Summer’s Air Jordan 1 Tie Dye, the offering leans into a more seasonally appropriate colorway with an approach far more refined relative to the aforementioned’s DIY motifs. Uppers, which arrive intentionally mismatched, proffer a recycled aesthetic that ostensibly makes use of production scraps and byproduct. Toe caps start with dark navy leathers while the toe box itself hues lighter with an aqua blue; then, around black laces and base layers, a metallic silver swoosh arcs adjacent to brown-tinged heel counter and ankle flap panels. Nylon tongues and midsoles bear a hi-vis aesthetic in their neon orange and volt shading, respectively, while branded patches stitch as if an afterthought — yet another clue to what may be an environmentally conscious release. Grab a detailed look at these here and find them currently rumored to launch on Nike.com come September 5th.
